Sur le plan économique, elle foisonne de sources naturelles, de gisements de plâtre et de carrières, de pierres et de sable typiques au lieu. Concernant le tourisme, elle dispose d’un parc national classé patrimoine universel par l’Unesco où certaines espèces de la flore et de la faune sont uniques au monde (l’oiseau sittelle par exemple).
